First visit in the North of England and it was the start of an adventure. Christopher and Philippa were both welcoming and looked after us like 2 angels. The best breakfast I’ve had in England and the countryside, the farm animals and the colours of green and brown of the surrounding country simply made it perfect. I would suggest to anyone going to Yorkshire.

Beba Minna and Sandra Sipioni, Milan, Italy , April 2008

Stewart and Christine White, Willingham, Cambridgeshire, April 2008

Unfortunately we only had one night at Low Penhowe but enjoyed it immensely! Chris and Philippa were not able to be present when we arrived late Saturday night, but left us a bottle of wine and a crackling fire in the Drawing room for our arrival. Our bedroom was so comfortable and a lovely bathroom just down the hall has every appointment we might need and the house was warm and cosy. Finally breakfast was as advertised, fantastic. We hope to visit Low Penhowe again.

Steve and Lynne Horn, Saltburn By The Sea, Cleveland, March 2008

So pleased that one night became two! Everything about Low Penhowe is delightful – the rooms, the food, the atmosphere and the hosts Philippa and Christopher. From the moment we were greeted by the two dogs and welcomed by Holly we have enjoyed every minute. We’ll be back

We could not have chosen a better place to stay for our first visit to Yorkshire – wonderful breakfasts, super bedroom overlooking the garden, hens and cattle, a peaceful setting with glorious views, the company of delightful Labradors, Molly and Tarka, and most of all the kindness and hospitality of Christopher and Philippa, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much we hope to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay – shame we could not have stayed longer. Your hospitality and breakfasts go before you and we are happy to endorse their excellence.

Thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable. The Highland cows were the reason we came. The great hospitality, beautiful house and fantastic breakfast are the reasons we will be returning.

It was for us a big pleasure, to stay a few days in this hidden treasure. Many thanks to Christopher and Philippa, Holly, Molly and Tarka who are really “the best hosts”. We haven’t been in a B&B where we got more assistance and such an excellent breakfast before. “The winner takes it all!” We highly recommend Low Penhowe to all visitors who like to come and see the North Yorkshire Moors. This stay we will never forget and neither the eyes of the two dogs.

Michele and Guy Schreiner-Neuens, Luxemburg, August 2007

An exceptional stay from start to finish. Great hosts who could not do enough to assist. It’s always the little extras that distinguish between good and excellent B&B’s. Low Penhowe would rate as one of the best. Did I mention the good food?

Excellent and would not hesitate in recommending to our friends. Nothing is too much trouble for Philippa and Christopher. Look forward to coming back again.

A wonderful stay. Christopher and Philippa could put everything right apart from the weather – I am sure they would make the sun shine if they could! Their stated aim is to give the best Bed and Breakfast experience ever and in our case they were certainly successful. We hope to return and will recommend Low Penhowe to our friends.
